Look out for a new Nature Reserve near you
If you live in South Lanarkshire, get ready for some new local greenery.
Sixteen sites across South Lanarkshire will become Local Nature Reserves. This means that these greenspaces will be protected because of how important they are to protecting the environment. They are also considered to be important for learning about nature and to give people who live in the council area time to be close to trees, flowers and wildlife.
Politicians at South Lanarkshire Council agreed it was time to have these new Nature Reserves after hearing about all the work happening to take care of nature.
