P5 Homework

Homework will be given on a Monday and collected on a Friday.

The menu at the front of the homework folder describes activities that can be completed for homework (this particular menu will last all term)

P5 must try to ‘spend’ at least 20p

This means that your child can choose which activities they do each week (e.g., spelling words can be practised once a week or four times per week depending on need.)

Activities undertaken must be recorded in the homework jotter and signed by you. The activities themselves can be completed in the jotter, on the paper provided, or on a computer where appropriate.

We completed the first week of  homework in class to ensure an understanding of how the format works and to show an expectation of the standard we require.

 

Reading:

Each week your child will have reading in class, they will also be asked to read additional pages at home. This can take the form of reading aloud to you or reading independently. Back in class we will discuss what has been read at home to ensure understanding of the text.
