P7 Edinburgh Trip
South Shetland Decides
Some of our P7s recently applied to the South Shetland Community councils for funding to support some of our pupils on our Edinburgh trip. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in our bid but our P7 pupils made us very proud. They were passionate and articulate as they tried to convince members of the South Shetland community in the Cunningsburgh Hall that our cause was worth voting for. They showed leadership and determination and were graceful in defeat. Very well done!

Our Learning Journey
Last term, parents/carers joined their children as part of our ‘My Learning Journey’, a learner led event. Learners invited their parents/carers into the school and were able to share their learning. Pupils talked with their parents/carers about their learning and shared some of their work, as well as showing them around different areas of the school and introducing their teachers.
Our canteen staff served taster school meals for family members to try. There were also partner agencies sharing information on health and wellbeing with parents/carers in the school gym hall. This event was very well attended and recieved very positive feedback from parents/carers and pupils who attended.
P6 Performance: The Little Match Girl
Primary 6 have been learning about Victorian times. They worked with Izzy Swamson to put on a production of The Little Match Girl which is set in Victorian times. They sourced and sold Victorian sweets as part of the experience. As well as acting, they painted scenery and made costumes for this show. Very well done to all involved.
