Primary 5 and Primary 2 have been planting daffodils to brighten up our school in spring time, when we will plant the daffodils outside our school for the whole community to enjoy.
Primary 5 did an excellent job helping the primary 2’s, they were great role models and showed the primary 2’s how to put the soil and bulbs into the pots. We hope you enjoy our bright daffodils when you drive past our school in the spring time.
Our JRSOs were out with the Police on the Sound Brae using the speed gun. We wanted to see the speed that drivers were going past our school. We thought that most drivers were very cautious and aware of the speed limits around the school.
Our Primary 7s and Primary 1s have buddied up. They meet up with their buddies on Monday afternoons and read stories, play games and have lots of fun!
Everyone at Sound Primary School has been enjoying Road Safety week. This year we have decided to remind people to Stop When You See the Lollipop! Our Nursery-P2 classes designed new Lollipops for Mr Webster and Mrs Moar, our Lollipop people. P3 and 4 designed new jackets for them and P5-7 made posters to raise awareness of our campaign.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers have been very busy reading Ziggy stories to the Nursery and Primary 2. They have also been organising competitions to help promote our campaign this year.

Here at Sound Primary School we are a Rights Respecting School and today we celebrated the 25th anniversary of Children’s Rights.
whole school split into house groups and children from P1-7 mixed together to make fantastic co-operative learning groups.Well done to all the pupils in Sound School for raising £1376.64 for Children in Need.
The pupils were fantastic bringing in old toys, books and cakes to sell at break time on Thursday and Friday. The Primary 7s organised lots of fun activities from hair-spraying to cup-pong and face painting.
