Curriculum Overview P4/5 Term 4
Comic Relief
We all enjoyed Red Nose Day on the 18th of March! Holistic Hope was a class favourite and quite a few of us had our fortunes told. There were a few surprises…!
We took part in all the activities that the Pupil Council had organised. They did a great job!
Amazing art
Fantastic still life drawings taught by Mrs Mullay.
Celebrations!
We have experienced lots of different celebrations this term. New Year, Burns Night, Chinese New Year and had our very own Dogtopia wedding! We have made New Years resolutions, tried Haggis, neeps and tatties and discovered more about Robert Burns, found out why Chinese New Year is celebrated at a different time to ours, made our own dragons out of lego and paper handprints and we all got invited to a wedding! We have also learnt about St Valentine and why we celebrate Valentines Day. We made cards to give to our loved ones (including our pets!)
Achievement Talks
There were some really interesting talks today from pupils who had made, written and illustrated their own books, had practised for years until they could do a one handed cartwheel, revealed their huge knowledge about different types of tropical fish and created ‘Puptopia’ with lots of different doggy characters.
Our Pupil Council reps organised a timed drawing competition, where pupils had only 10 minutes to draw ‘Rocky’ the puppy!
The joint winners were Sadie and Rhys.
