Hello. I am Vaila. Today I will tell you about square numbers. (well, Dhanial and Ben I guess.. You’re not at school.)
If you can’t remember (maybe cats are controlling your brain!!) square numbers are numbers multiplied by themselves. (I made my own: Cat numbers, numbers multiplied by 1. maybe people that hate maths would like that..)
Anyway, We did a page in our maths textbooks (I can’t remember so let’s call it page dragon, because I love dragons sssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooo much.) On page dragon, Bill the builder (call him Bob the Builder instead) was doing something like putting down tiles for a patio and we had to find the square roots. (If you can’t remember finding the square roots is like finding the number you need to multiply by to get the square number.) that was hard to explain. So yeah. Leave a comment telling me if you liked doing square numbers!! (before we go, I’d like to throw in a joke. What was wrong about the flower in my maths class? It had square roots!! ha ha. so funny. lol. such a good joke.) OKAY BYE ^U^
Our class started to play a really fun maths games on a laptop a few weeks a go its called sumdog and u can add your friends on it if they play it and if they are at your house you can join by clicking on the game at the same time.
This weeks amazing math master is going to be
Sunni
This weeks amazing brainiac is going to be SHANNON! It is Shannon because she is getting more confident and happy about maths! :)!
Hey I am Libby. I am going to tell you about my maths group our name is the Squares (as you see up there). So lets begin! We do multpication and adding things like 938 + 590=……
So, that’s not all – in my maths group the other people are Isla and Josh. We all help each other solve the sums. If you want to know more then comment! Bye xx Libby
In Maths this week we have been doing rounding and compensating and equal adjustments. The maths what we do is fun but educational. Sunni enjoys doing sums on the whiteboards with the teacher. Vaila like when she gets to do chimney sums. Charlie and Robbie like doing equal adjustments.
That’s the end of this post bye

This week the Marvellous Mathematician is going to be
JOSH!
Miss Mainland chose Josh this week because he has been so enthuiastic in all of his teaching sessions in his group. He always tries his best and is becoming an addition and subtraction wizard!
Hi I’m Charlie and I am going to tell you about Marvellous Mathematician Of The Week!
So far we haven’t decided who is the Marvellous Mathematician Of The Week yet but when we do you will be able to know how it works.
We will chose one boy and one girl each week who got the least corrections etc.
It should be ready by Monday 25th September!
Come see what we have been learning!
