SSPCA visit

Yesterday we had a visit from Louise from the SSPCA.

Chenet – She told us lots of things about caring for our pets.

Isaac and Erin – We saw a story about kittens on buses and dogs in vans.

Ella – We learned that you can go to jail for hurting animals.

Foodbank Assembly

On Tuesday we had a special assembly with Mr Grieve who came to speak to us about the food bank. Here is what we had to say about this:

Ella – Mr Grieve came in

Lauree-Ann & Erin – They don’t let the same people come all the times

Chenet – They don’t have fresh food. They just have tins and packets.

Outright Day

As we are a Rights Respecting School, we celebrated Outright Day  on Tuesday 22 November. We worked with other pupils from our house groups and took part in 3 activities. We learned about the importance of children’s rights across the world. We found out about refugee children and how they are denied their rights because of dangers in their countries.

We went around 3 classrooms and did different activities in mixed age groups from Primary 1-7. We listened to a song, watched videos and took part in different activities.
