Primary Four Nature Photos

Primary Four has been out and about spotting amazing nature all around.  Armed with cameras, phones and ipads they took time from daily mile routines to stop and observe their surroundings.  What a fine selection of photographs!

“I spotted the birds in the sea and took a picture.  I took the picture with Dad’s phone.  I took the photo because it was cool how much birds there were.”

“I took a photo of the daisies in our garden.  I used my ipad.  I edited the photo to make it better.”

“We found the bee.  Dad helped us give him sugar and honey.   It took a while but eventually he got better.”

“Bob lives across the road in a park.  I took this photo because when I take a walk I say “Hi.”  Bob then looks at me and comes over.”

“My photo is of bluebells.  I took the photo last week.  It is half way down our road.  It is in a wild habitat with lots of rose trees.”

“My picture is tulips Mom bought for the MRI scanner.  Each tulip cost £1 from the school Eco group.  Mom planted the tulips last year in October.  They will flower every year at Springtime.”

“This is an old fashioned daffodil at the side of our road.”

Friday Fun, Home Chores, Daily Mile

P4 – Thank you for all the fantastic photos.  It is  great to see what you are all doing at home. As well as keeping fit and healthy, you are learning many new skills – cooking, cleaning, ‘delling’, hanging out clothes, helping with family croft, hoovering, putting out the recycling bins.  What a wide and varied list!  Keep up the good work and enjoy your weekend.

Term 4 begins …

Good Morning Primary Four.  I hope you have all had a restful holiday and have managed to enjoy yourselves despite being in lockdown.  I will be posting some activities later which you can carry out at home but in the meantime I need to check who can log in to Glow.  Please let me know by commenting on this post.  I will be able to help with user name or password issues.

I have planned for us to read a book this term.  I have chosen Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first in the Harry Potter series.  The story is available to listen to free online at stories.audible.com.  You don’t need to register or anything so just find the book and click listen.  I have listened to chapter one this morning.  Stephen Fry is the narrator and although I have read the book and watched the film I got completely hooked –  again!  I would like everyone to listen to chapter one this week.

Keep practising your maths skills on Sumdog.  New challenges will be set for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Best Wishes to you all

P4 Host Sport Relief 2020

P4 has been busy over the last couple of weeks preparing for Sport Relief.  They planned a mile route around the primary building and Harbison Park, using trundle wheels to calculate the correct distance.

On Friday 13th, Sport Relief Day, each class took it in turns to buy wristbands and take part in some keep fit activities.  P4 pupils used stop watches to time them.  Later they guided the younger classes around the Sport Relief Mile.

Play Day

March 17, 2020 by Leo James | 0 comments

On play day we built a boat with BIG blocks.  It was good fun and lots of peerie ones  played too. I  took in a fluffy bird. John took in a lego

monster truck,  William took in a monster truck, Tasnim took in a rubiks cube and Mackie took in wrestlers.
