We began the term with a block of athletics. We took part in a variety of activities across three key areas: running, jumping and throwing. This gave us plenty of opportunities to learn, practise and develop our skills across the different events.

Hello and welcome to term 4. Please find below our curriculum information for the term:
We had a busy term in PE doing Dance, Handball and Badminton. P7 also had a few extra lessons learning Shetland dances for the P7 Hop with Bell’s Brae.
Here we are doing Handball.

Term 4 Overview
We are finishing the year off with three activities for four weeks each.
1 – Athletics with Determination and Resilience
2-Skipping with Stamina
3- Rounders with Cue Recognition.
This term we enjoyed taking part in buddy reading during literacy week.

This term we have been learning about 3D shapes. We used match sticks to build some shapes and found their properties.

We have been learning about energy generation and storage.

Over the last few weeks we have been learning about renewable energy. We have been outdoors sampling wind and sunshine, trying to decide where solar energy and wind power would work best, around our school. The weather hasn’t always been kind but we have always found energy in our surroundings.

In Art p7 have been using LINE to draw some realistic looking Vikings.
We have tried to use wavy line to help create the feeling of movement in the hair.
The details and expressions created are fantastic, Well-done P7!

Primary 7 have had a brilliant day celebrating Up-Helly-Aa. We had a visit from the junior and senior jarl squad and the junior galley. P7 even organised a senior wing dance to end the day. It was lots of fun. Well done P7!

Primary 7 have been making Up-Helly-Aa pictures, forming circuits and working hard to code a light display. It was quite fiddly but lots of fun! Creativity and initiative was definitely on display!
