Cooking Club
Our whole class are part of the new Cooking Club in school this term. Alison from the canteen has been helping us think about the food we can make in line with ‘Food for Life’ guidelines. We wrote letters to the local community champion based in Tesco, asking for their support, as we have no budget to buy ingredients. We haven’t heard back from them yet but are hopeful that they may be able to donate something in the future. In the meantime, the children decided to make healthy pizzas to share with their family. Alison said that we could use ingredients from the canteen so that our cooking activity could go ahead. We’ve had a busy day, preparing the ingredients in the morning and putting the pizzas together and cooking them this afternoon. Thank you Alison! We’ve had fun! We’ve used our creative, critical thinking and communication meta skills.
