Learning with Oreos!

We have been learning about the phases of the moon. We created the phases of the moon using oreos…and ate a few too! We had to carve each phase to complete the lunar cycle:

  • new moon
  • waxing crescent moon
  • half moon (first quarter)
  • waxing gibbous moon
  • full moon
  • waning gibbous moon
  • half moon (last quarter)
  • waning crescent moon

Pancake Day!

We had great fun making (and eating!) pancakes yesterday. The best part was trying to flip them, although a few did end up on the floor! We learned about the origins of Shrove Tuesday and what it means to Christians.  🙂

Visit from the Police

Our community liaison officer came into school to talk to us about how the police help to keep us safe. We learned about drink driving and how dangerous it is. We put on these goggles that made us see double and had to try and walk on the line. It was quite difficult, this was to show us the dangers of drinking and driving.
