We have been learning all about children being evacuated during WWII. Evacuation tried to ensure the safety of young children from the cities that were considered to be in danger of German bombing. We tried to imagine how evacuees must have felt having to leave their family. We’ve been pretending we’re evacuees in WWII so we’ve been busy making boxes for our next topic lesson on gas masks.
