Week 5 and 6

We have really enjoyed our gym sessions with Isla our Active Schools student.  We’ve also enjoyed playing out in the snow.  We sledged at playtime!

p67 have been doing lots of cooperative activities linked to The Shetland Bus, problem solving in maths and news reporting.
p56 have been using Nearpods to share their learning and focusing on regular, targeted writing sessions.
p34 have been enjoying Star of the Week.  This has really built confidence.

It’s been a busy week in P1.

In Maths P1 have been revising their knowledge of Numbers to 10 and counting up to 20 in a lot of different ways. We have had songs, lots of counters and lots of different pictures.

In P2 we have been looking at number sequences up to a 100 and trying to work out one more, one less, two more and two less. We have also been using the 100 Square to count up in tens.

In our Literacy sessions P1 have been learning the names of Biff, Chip, Kipper, Mum, Dad and Floppy from the Oxford Reading Tree books. They have also been telling the stories from the pictures in the wordless books. P2 have been working on words with a-e in them and writing descriptions and sentences.

As part of Friday fun we had a Teddy Bear’s Picnic, badminton, stone craft and a community walk.
