The sun shone for sports day.  The day began with the flat races.  Then our classes started their activities rotation.  There was 6 events, quoit balance, skipping, shopping race, obstacle course, 3 legged race and the tattie and spoon.  All pupils compete for their team Reds, Blues or Whites.

There was also the sack rack and a very competitive mums and dads egg and spoon.  The dads was a photo finish!  Then we had the round the pitch distance race where some really great sportsmanship was evident.  Everyone who completed the course got points for their team.
The morning’s competition was rounded off by the whole school shuttle relay.  The Blues just won and the 30 points took them into the lead on the last event.

Medals were presented to 1st Blue. 2nd White and 3rd Red.  The pupils  showed themselves to be really encouraging of each other and shouted on their team and friends all morning.

Thanks to Mr Kirkness, staff and our excellent supporters and our brilliant Bairns.  Juice, medals, snacks,  coffee and tea were all provided from the proceeds of our fundraising coffee morning.
What a great day!  👏
