Week 9

It’s been an amazing week at Hamnavoe.  There’s been so much learning outside.  P3/4 have been using different material to built their maze games applying their knowledge of Scottish landscapes , coordinates , direction and measure .
Shadow drawing was fun as a response to a story “the man who lost his shadow” and one of our pupils built a shadow streaking machine!  Very inventive!
P56 have been mapping applying their learning of coordinates, they have learned about the Braer disaster and experimented with oil and water.  They have designed and tested their Lego models learning how to make them stable.  They have also been on a coastal ramble around the varied and interesting coastline of Hamnavoe.
we awarded our gymnastics with wider achievement awards for their gymnastic display last weekend.  We also had lots of star badge winners.
