Week 3

It’s week 3!  Our Christmas shows are underway and pupils are looking forward to our public performances on 12th December at 6pm in the Hamnavoe Hall.

This week P12 have been enjoying lots of Active learning, drawing club and having lots of fun.  P34 have developed a French shop and have been making more toys as part of their topic.  They’ve also handled old toys from the 30s and 40s.  P56 have been planning for Anti Bullying week.  They’ve displayed hands around the school suggesting Random Acts of Kindness.  They’ve also been learning about classification in science.  P67 met the Junior UHA representatives as all P7s can take part.  Our netball club got underway and our lunch time football has been fun.  Knitting and badminton start next week.

We held a Remembrance assembly which focused on the loss of local men from Burra who died during WW1.  We presented our star badges, wider Achievement awards and the JRSOs gave out their goodie bags to the winners of the brightest school bag competition.

Please remember our Pudsey ramble and teas is on Friday 18th from 140pm.  Donations for Children in Need are welcomed.
