Again this year we are donating items for the Shetland Foodbank, helping to provide food parcels for those in need at Christmas.
Each child has a day to bring an item in to school to contribute to the collection.
Some of the items suggested are:
tinned or instant custard
tins of rice pudding
jars of jam
tins of mince, stew, sausages
tinned or instant potatoes
3 primary 7 pupils had some heavy lifting to do when they took all the donations from pupils to the Shetland Food Bank in Lerwick.
They saw a very busy store, with lots of donations being dropped off and picked up. David Grieve told them that they hand out roughly 60 packages each week, so thank you to everyone that added to the school donation, a very worthwhile cause!
