P7 set off on their adventures
P7 set off today on their overnight residential to Voxter Centre. Excited and nervous, the P7s packed the minibus arriving at Voxter about 10am giving time to settle in before setting off to Brae Leisure Center for some fun in the pool with the inflatable fun run and then outside for more fun with the Zoorb balls and crazy golf, followed by a fish and chip tea at Frankie’s. There will be a further update tomorrow with more pictures when the children return to school 3pm.
New Uniform Logo now available
Thanks to the hard work of the parent council the uniform with the new logo, designed by Hannah Wells from P7 last year, is now available to purchase ready for the next academic year from the Price Buckland Website Dunrossness Primary School (pbuniform-online.co.uk). The link can also be found in the For Parents page on this blog. Thanks to Owen and Isla for modelling the hoodies for us!
Dunrossness Primary School Up Helly Aa!
10th March 2023. What a spectacular day that was enjoyed by everyone. The weather for perfect, snow with sunshine for our P7 Jarl Squad led by Jade aka Lagertha- the victorious shield maiden to walk through the ranks to follow the fire engine down to the pitch to set light to the galley, built by John, which has sat for 3 years in the school hall, waiting for this moment. It was great to be joined by many parents and members of the community as well as the fire service and marshals. Thank you all. Guiser Jarl Jimmy aka Einar Hjaltendingur and his squad joined us in the school hall in the afternoon for a rousing version of the Up Helly Aa song as well as the school’s own Jimmy the Jarl song. A great time was had by all. Thanks again for all came along to support this wonderful day.
