On Monday we went to a profiling meeting in Islesburgh in Lerwick. We had to teach the teachers about our Glow e-portfolios. Charlotte and I were the ones that went. There were other pupils from Bells Brae teaching the teachers too. The teachers were split into 5 different groups and went around to the different groups. They asked us questions about what we did in our e-portfolios and how to use them. We had 20 minutes to speak to each group. We taught them how to add pages and what the subject pages were so they could use them in their classrooms. We showed them our blog as well and our learning diaries. We showed them what was on them out of interest. Profiling is when you’re showing your best work that you have done well or being proud of. You have to have a profile at the end of P7.
Before we got to the meeting we ate at the Islesburgh café. I had a baked tottie! We went back home on the twenty five past 5 ferry. My mam was coming home on the same ferry as us so I hopped in the car with her!

On Monday the 5th of March, We had to be at school at 8:45 so we could catch a ferry to Mainland Shetland. Mrs Gott came instead as Miss Breyley. Sonia took us on the bus. The ferry took 20 minutes to get from Ulsta to the Mainland. We drove to the clickimin where the orchestra was being held. Miss Breyley told us they would be 700 people there the day before. When we got there we saw lots and lots of buses and coaches. After we had got through the queue we sat down on the chairs. We were amazed at how many people they were. A man called Paul stood up and welcomed us and told us what the concert was called, after Paul sat down, the orchestra played the first song which was called Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss. It was amazing how they all came all together. My favourite songs that they played was the Simpsons and In The Hall Of the Mountain King. I learned that if the orchestra played a note wrong they just kept on going.
We participated in two songs one of them we sang which was called When Life Is Great and we clapped to Tam O’ Shanter.

Once upon a time there lived a frog, a cat and a tiger. One day they were playing tag on a hill and frog fell and grabbed cats hand, then the cat fell and grabbed the tigers hand and they all got pulled down like dominoes. They all started to roll down the hill in a big ball and a big lump of sand covered them up and now thousands of years later all that’s left is a big round ball of bones.

Once apon a time a ball of bones was destroying a city. It was bashing and smashing down buildings. The police was trying to stop it but it simply broke their cars. The army was shooting at it with their tanks. A werewolf came and pulled at a bone but the ball squashed it. Cinderella came and was angry at it for smashing her slipper of glass but it pushed her into a building which was locked. The balls mum came and was so angry at it. She shouted and ranted until they went back home. Builders fixed the city.

At the museum there is a sculpture and no one knows what it is. It’s made from the bones of an animal from years ago. The archaeologist that found it said it was already in a ball. At night in the museum the old bone ball started to transform into a T-rex. The T-rex started to storm about and broke the other exhibits. At the end of the night he transformed back into the ball. This only happens when there is an eclipse at night. The museum owners found it in the morning in the middle of the museum.
