The monster called Pete
One day I woke up from a small noise outside I walked into the kitchen. my dad was having breakfast then I saw that the tv wasn’t on then my dad left the kitchen. And I knew what was wrong I didn’t remember putting it on it was the tv. Although I heard the noise then THERE WAS SOMTHING IN MY KITCHEN. It was a monster exceedingly small then I saw it dad didn’t come back though. Then the monster said PETE! Boom it was gone.

I was just going to go and get my favorite toy and… I just realist it wasn’t on my bed, it was on my floor. I though, I didn’t remember putting it on the floor! So I got the doll and the clothes and guess what! It blinked! Mum! My doll blinked! I said not sure she would believe. Don’t be silly, dolls don’t blink! There not alive! Said mum. But I new for sure that it was alive. And the next day, it played with me. I played a game with it. It was really fun.

Once there was a 7-year-old girl called Sophie. She went to get out all her Crafty stuff to make a picture of a tree with real leaves on the top of the tree. She got the leaves and the glue and stuck them on. Later, when her parents were making tea, she went out of her house and went to explore the forest and found a white castle with a hill. She went up the hill and inside the castle and had a look around. When she had had enough, she rolled down the hill to her house for tea.

Once upon a time there was a snow man with a castle.
He had 4 children snow children of cores. He livd in a white castle.then it was autumn and the leaves where falling.
As the leaves where falling the children and granny Rolling down and down the hill! The dad was being crafty with the house but he was melting he was nothing but water. The End

Snow World
One day a boy called Felix woke up from a weird dream it was about three squirrels running around a tree and throwing rolling sweets. One evening he decided to go sailing he went to the local pier and got onto his dads white sailing boat. When he went off he realized he was sinking he tried to get but he would die there was already water there and his phone would be broken. He fell into the water. He woke up on an island there was leaves and crafty elves making lots of things like a castle.

There was a princess and a queen in a castle. They had three pets. One hamster, and two bunnies. The hamster was called Max and the two bunnies were called Sophia and Mia. Mia was black and Sophia was brown. The princess was called Emma. One day it was VERY snowy. It was really white. Mum! Said Emma. Its way to cold for the pets and the leaves are blowing at them! Ok, Emma. I’ll go outside and get them in. Emma desided to do crafty stuff. Mum came in. They were rolling with cold. Said Mum. Brr!

The words we had to use were rolling, crafty, leaves, castle, and white.
One day a long time ago there was an 8-year-old girl called Sarah. That day she decided she would take out all her crafty stuff to make a wreath with lots of leaves she found in her garden. When her glue was rolling on the table, she found an address. She also found her home address and noticed it was near her house. Later when her family was watching TV, she sneaked out of her house and went to the building. It led her to a forest, and as she went deeper into it, she found a giant, white castle.

We have been learning all about Diwali this week, and have made Diva lamps and Rangoli patterns to welcome Lakshmi.
We Made Diwali sweeties to celebrate today!
500g dates
tin of condensed milk
125g ground almonds
Desiccated coconut
-Chop dates
-heat dates, condensed milk and ground almonds in a pan on a low heat till it forms a big sticky ball
– when cool roll in to balls and cover in desiccated coconut

Its great having everyone back in school today – our soft start this week has now begun!
The next couple of weeks are going to focus on our new routines, and reconnecting with everyone in school. There’s going to be a lot of activity outside in the playground so please give us a wave if you pass school!
Chirpy and Barbara are still on holiday in Cullivoe but will hopefully be back to school soon.
Packed lunches this week sound fantastic! Menus for next week should be up soon 🙂

Friday, 13th August 1982.
19:49am
In a small town in Michigan, it wasn’t a normal day, it was Friday the 13th. Everyone started the day of normally because they all thought Friday the 13th was just any other day. Or is it?
First, all the adults went to work, and the children went to school.
12:37pm
At 12:30pm every school day, usually the children are outside playing in the playground, but something isn’t ordinary…the swings have been knocked down.
Meanwhile the children were playing football Jacob yelled “STOP!!!” Everyone turned their head towards him. “What?” Replied Abigail. “The swings!” Everyone’s jaws dropped. “What happened?” Cried Grace.
Everyone ran over to inspect it. “Oh no” sighed Imogen, “I will tell Mrs Jones!” She sobbed.
But Mrs Jones was already on her way out…

“Mrs-” “EVERYONE!!!!!” All the children gasped. “GATHER AT THE GATE!” The children and the teachers did as they were told. “What’s going on?” Whispered Zoe. “I’m not sure…” Replied Amanda.
Next everyone heard a scream…
Anna still was in the playground.

Everyone’s heads turned to where the sound was coming from. Mrs Harris ran over to get Anna. “Anna isn’t here!” Cried Isabelle, “Shhhh!” shushed Mrs Jones, “Oh” frowned Mrs Jones again.
Next everyone realised why Anna screamed…
There was a creature coming over the hill…

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!” Everyone shrieked, (Including the teachers.) Everyone ran as far as they could to get away from the mystery creature. Mrs Jones checked her watch and it said, “1:22, Friday, August 13th” She sighed.
Meanwhile Mrs Harris and Anna were still trying to catch up as the monster was still chasing them.
Chloe turned around to check, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!” There were more baby monsters chasing (the babies were the size of a medium trampoline)
Everyone turned around too “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” They bellowed and charged even further away.
Next the largest creature broke half of the school and it came crashing to the ground.
And the smallest creatures started running into walls of houses and collapsing to the ground.
1:34pm
10 minutes went by and the monsters were still smashing up buildings.
Once they were done, they started walking over the hill again, waving goodbye. “Huh?” Questioned Isabelle.
The mystery of the monsters, still remains unsolved.
