The young eventer
Once there was a girl that lived with her dad in a lab. One day she asked her dad if she could make a robot. Dad, can I make a robot? It would be cool! I Said. Yes, but we need lots of metal. Said Dad And there was enough metal. Here. Said dad. It only took 3 weeks. Dad, I am done. I said. Wow! Said Dad watch this! It will take off! But then suddenly, it didn’t. It just wouldn’t take off… Then BOOM!!!! It did! Yay! Yay! And It flew in to the air.

Once there was a rescue helicopter that could not take off. It was on the hospital roof and low on fuel and the pilot needed to fetch some. The pilot was camping with her family far away from her house. She had to ride her horse to the shop to get fuel. On the way there the horse got tired, they had a rest then carried on. She bought fuel then they went to the hospital and into the lift to get to the roof. She fuelled up and jumped in. But what does she do with the horse?

It just wouldn’t take off…
Once, there was a girl named Sophie and she was knitting a jumper for her bunny. It was Sophies little secret. When she had finished the jumper, she took it outside and put it on her bunny. The bunny did not like the jumper at all, and chewed it and tried to get it off, so Sophie tried to take it off, but it just wouldn’t take off. When Sophies mum and dad saw, then they took the jumper off the bunny and sent Sophie to her room. Her mum and dad were very mad.

As we can’t have our Burn Supper in School this week, on Friday afternoon a ‘Burns Supper in a Box’ was sent to all our families.
Veg from our school garden, shortbread, juice, a copy of the Selkirk Grace and some activities – just add Haggis!
From the photos sent in over the weekend it looks like some amazing Burns Supper celebrations have been going on!

Yesterday, 19/1/2021 My family and I were planning to go camping. We agreed to go that night and started packing our bags. Once we got to the forest, we put up the tents and decided which one we wanted to sleep in. After we were all set up, we were a bit bored so I suggested we played a game of hide and seek. I scurried away from Lizzie (who was the seeker) and went into the deepest darkest part of the forest. When I was hidden, I wondered where everyone else was so I crept forward and saw this…

The weird looking tree
Once there were two big owls with some baby owls and they were all looking for a tree live in because all the other trees were too small. At last, they found a tree that was big enough, but it looked weird. They all went inside the hole in the front of the tree and the male owl went to collect some straw and twigs for making a nest. They built a nest and then went to look for some food. All the owls began to feast on the dead mice the male owl had found.

Faint light in forest gave it sun light. It looked like a

We are delighted that this week it was announced we have the funding from Scottish Government’s Community Climate Asset Fund to get a polycrub for school!
Our funding will cover the purchase and build of the polycrub. With a polycrub, we will be able to grow a wider range of produce in school, and be able to use it as an outdoor learning space in winter to help us develop our outdoor learning, reduce our carbon footprint and start on our journey as an ecoschool!

One day I got up from my bed and realized there was a noise. it was an animal noise I went to the living room mum was out and dad was at work. then I saw mums Christmas tree costume on clothes stand. I looked around then I heard the noise coming from the dress. Who or what is this creature dressed up as a Christmas tree I said? Then it answered I’m a monkey the creature said. Then a monkey jumped out like a jack in a box and yelled FUNky MONkey and then it was gone.

One afternoon, then I went to feed the bunnies. I fed them their biscuits and pellets and then I filled up their water and then I clipped the water bottle back on to the run and then I clapped them. I back inside and went into the sitting room and I noticed that the TV was on. “How did it get on?” I said. One day not too long ago I went shopping to Tesco for a jumper and I found one that I really liked. I tried it on, it fit me perfectly, My dad and I bought it and went back home. The next day I wore it to school and after snack when we were doing math’s, I suddenly felt very dizzy and I fainted. Everyone asked me “Jake! Are you ok?” “What just happened!” or “That jumper has a mind of its own!” I usually replied, “I didn’t even remember putting it on”
