Gardening

On the first day of term we went Gardening. We emptied the flower pots. We put the old  compost out of the pots and put the compost out of the compost bins. We had to go into the groups and to use an Trall. We took turns on digging the compost out of the compost bins. Abby made an time-lapse of us Taking out the compost out of the bins. We had to be fast at this.

Making Robots

In Pre-School-Group we read a book Jennifer won in a prize draw from the Scottish Book Trust   called Winnies Big Bad Robot and the author had signed it. After we made our own robots with things from the reusing box. Sofia and I made robot cats and Mara made a robot bunny and Alice just made a normal robot and Hannah made a food bot.

Taes and Claes

Jacqui Duncan came with our share from the Taes and Claes fundraiser that she organised to raise money for the Yell Schools today. We got £342.50 from the Taes and Claes. We are very grateful to Jacqui and the people who helped her!

Farms And Animals

We don’t have many Farms but we have small holdings called Crofts. We have thousands of sheep,  they live in fields and they live on the hills .  Most of the Sheep here are Shetland Sheep they are small and can survive in the Shetland weather and eat rougher grass and heather. Shetland Sheep  come different colours. They are manly white and black and Lots of different shades of  brown. We have Shetland Ponies which are small and they also are  black and brown and white.  They are Shetland cows which are smaller then Crossbred cows that  can live on rough grass and they don’t need so much shelter. They are Ducks and Hens which are free range. A few people have Shetland Hens and Ducks Which are Smaller in size.
