We don’t have many Farms but we have small holdings called Crofts. We have thousands of sheep,  they live in fields and they live on the hills .  Most of the Sheep here are Shetland Sheep they are small and can survive in the Shetland weather and eat rougher grass and heather. Shetland Sheep  come different colours. They are manly white and black and Lots of different shades of  brown. We have Shetland Ponies which are small and they also are  black and brown and white.  They are Shetland cows which are smaller then Crossbred cows that  can live on rough grass and they don’t need so much shelter. They are Ducks and Hens which are free range. A few people have Shetland Hens and Ducks Which are Smaller in size.

Y6 in Barlow Hall School in Chorlton Manchester are learning about life in different parts of the UK and want to ask us about living on a Shetland Island.

The P1/2 class at Monikie Primary School in Angus have been learning about Katie Morag and island life. They sent us some questions and we answered them in a Glowmeet.

I made a picture for an Drawing competition. I made a Horse picture that’s outside . I used an 2B Pencil. First I planned in my Sketch book. I used an A3 piece of paper. We had a choice to have an A3 or A4. When we finished we scanned it or took an photo. We have to send it to Dundee. We had photo photocopy

This morning it snowed  so  went out and played in the snow.

We are looking  at the pictures to see if we like them. The books that I am borrowing is Moonlight  tales and Who woke the Animals.
