Digital Learning Week 2016
This week our School has been joining in with Digital Learning Week. I did a film called Madison. I have done a film before but this time I did a shorter film because normally my films I do are quite long. I don’t normally clip my video clips but this time I did. I added my own sound affects instead of the ones that are already made. I also added music which I don’t normally do either. I also turned up the volume up on the clip with some help and I have never done that before so that was really cool.

Yammer Digital Learning Week 2016
I have been using Yammer for transition and teaching the other P7s from Mid Yell and Cullivoe Primary School to use it. We have been keeping all of our work on Yammer and I really enjoying using it. We have been using Yammer to communicate with each other when we are not together because all the schools are really far apart from each other because we are all remote schools; we only have one transition day at every school. My group have been using Yammer to share notes and documents with each other and sharing links that are useful for our research.We have to organise a trip with a budget to the mainland and we have to organise it in one school day or over the course of two days. We also have to make a presentation to present when we are S1 to see if we can persuade the other S1s and the secondary staff that our trip is the best to go on. We are going to make a presentation using online power point or sway so we can do it before the next transition meeting . I think that Yammer is really good and you can do a lot with it like make groups, add hyper links, websites, notes and documents. It is also useful for talking to others that you don’t see often.

Digital Learning Week 2016
This week we are showing of our digital learning skills. We are doing stories and music in audacity and some of us are going to make adverts to do with Fever and we are also making animations in Scratch. P3 also doing shared stories in word online and adding a picture plus some movies and P1 is going to make a picture in paint, we’re going to publish it on the blog so everyone can see them #dlw16.

Going on The Swan
This is my 2nd time going on The Swan. My favourite part was when we pulled the rope to put the sheet up and then the skipper let us steer it was so fun. We had to hold on something or we would fall off the Swan we all had to wear life jackets even the grown ups had to wear life jakets we had to wear them incase we ever do fall off.
Thank you to the crew for letting us on the boat

FiRsT TiMe On ThE SwAn
I liked that on the way back we got to steer the boat. We also got to get the sheet out so the wind blow even farther away. We got to climb on to their bunkbed. I did not want to let anyone else on the bunkbed .

The Swan
On Tuesday we went on Swan. We had to climb in the Swan then we had to go down the steps.Then we got the life jackets on. Then we sailed out of the voe and in to the sea. Then we hoisted up the sails and then we did a swirl with the rope so the sail did’t slid down. Then we steered the Swan on the way back. Mara steered the Swan first.

The Swan Trip
P1 P2 and P3 went on the Swan. We pulled rope to make the flag go up. The flag helps the boat move if the engine is off. some of us stieered the boat. we went downstairs we had something to eat I had a biscuit.

Paintings
We all drew pictures of things outside and it was observational drawing it was fun we we had to look really really hard at what we were going to draw in our sketch books. I drew two daffodils it was fun. you had to do it with detail. first you could draw the outline with a pencil and then paint it. you need to get a paint palet paint brush and a cup of water and then paint the picture.

Pre School Group
At Pre school group we read a book called winnies Big Bad Robot . The robot was really bad he made everyting turn into Robots .He made the bird the bunnies the frogs the ducks the house and even winie turned into a robot.After wilbur the cat had a idea.He grabed a creeper and swung over the Robots head snatched winnies wand. Then he swung across to winnie the robot .Droped the wand into her hand. Winnie the robot waved the wand again and shouted ABRA beeb beeb CADABRA winnie the witch flopped into her deckchair wilbur curled up in her lap. Thank you wilbur Winnie said I am very lucky to have such a clever cat pur pur pur said wibur. After that we made robots out of recycling things . Some of us made names for them. After school we toke them home the name for my Robot is Foodbot
