Glasgow Science Centre on Tour and Fetlar Pupils

On Wednesday the 26th, two people came from the Glasgow Science Centre, to our school. They came in a very colourful van. Later all of the pupils came from Fetlar School. First the P1, P2 and P3 went to get their science lesson. Afterwards It was our turn to go to our science lesson. We were learning about our digestion system, we spoke about how our food moulds up in a ball and goes down our oesaphagus next it goes into our stomach, after that it goes into our small intestine which is 6m long , but the small intestine is also very thin so, that’s why it’s called the small intestine, I learned that the intestines get rid of the water from the food . After it goes into the large intestine, which is only 1m and a 1/2, but its called the large intestine because it is really wide. One of the ladies also told us what she ate yesterday, and mixed all those foods in one bag, she pretended that the bag was her stomach. Later she sieved the liquid out of the bag full of food. she told us that the rest of the food would be poo.
