Trev Junior meets a Lewis Chessman

Trev is having a short holiday from Shetland and is visiting the Isle of Lewis, one of the Outer Hebridian Islands. He has been learning a bit about some of the treasures of Lewis and today he visited the beach where the Lewis Chessmen were found. He posed with a huge carved wooden copy of one of the Kings that were found.

We visited the big touring exhibition about the Lewis Chessmen when it came to Shetland and really enjoyed seeing some of the pieces.

  2. Hi Trev Junior and friends!
That’s cool, I’ve just spent three weeks on the Isle of Lewis! I think it’s a great place and the Lewis Chessmen are really interesting and funny to look at.
I also loved the beaches – unfortunately we don’t have any beaches or coast here in Switzerland.
Now our holidays are almost over. School here starts again next week, August 15th. I’m looking forward to hear what everybody has seen during the holidays.
Have a good time, Miss Alder.
