We are made up of 13 (7 super boys and 6 fantastic girls) with our teacher Miss Morrison and support from Mrs Paton throughout the week. During our time in primary 2 we look forward to learning lots of new things and being the best that we can be!

In literacy, we will be learning lots of new sounds, writing super sentences, and reading lots of new stories. In numeracy and maths, we will learn about numbers up to 100, and use our knowledge to Beat That in our Big Maths Challenges! We will also learn lots of new skills in measure, fractions, shape, patterns, time and money.

In primary 2M we will work together as a team to be respectful, and kind and we work hard to get onto the recognition board each day, as well as earn points for our houses!  We love to celebrate achievements in our classroom and have opportunities to show off our super work through our ‘proud cloud’ walls.

We continue to have a play-based approach to learning in primary 2 and we have daily opportunities to lead our learning through play.  During this time, we build independence, social skills and communication skills which are important for our development.

This year primary 2M and primary 2L will work together to develop our first level outdoor area and we look forward to using this to learn lots of new things, starting with our topic for term 1- A bug’s life. We are looking forward to our other topics during our time in primary 2 including Scottish Foods, Our Community, and the Circus.

We can’t wait to challenge ourselves in Primary 2 and continue to learn and play every day!
