Parents are the first and ongoing educators of their own children and know them best. At Tarbolton Primary school we wish to work closely with parents to ensure that parents are very much involved in their child’s learning journey. We encourage parents to work closely with the school to ensure pupils are meeting their targets and gaining the best from their early and primary years. We expect parents to support pupils with their homework tasks and to attend progress meetings. We offer a range of shared learning opportunities inviting parents to come in to school and work with their child or view what their child has been learning about.
Annually (although often more frequently) we will survey parents for their views on how we are doing and how we can improve. We wish parents to be honest with us as their opinions are important to us.
As a parent of a pupil in our school you are automatically a member of our parent forum. For those who wish we have a parent council which you are encourage to be part of. Please see our section for our Parent Council.
