We are made up of 14 (8 brilliant boys and 6 fantastic girls) with Mrs Montgomery and support from Mrs Paton throughout the week. Although we are a smaller class, we still get up to lots of fun! We love to play and learn together as a class.
As we are getting further into the term, we are now learning new things daily including new phonics sounds, numeracy and from our IDL topic this keeps us very busy. Of course, we still manage to find time to play as it is our favourite thing to do!
We have been learning about our rights and respecting others inside and outside the classroom. We used the story “Have you filled a bucket today?” to promote kindness in the class which our class is very keen to show off when we have been kind to each other. When we are proud of something we can show off our brilliant work and put it on our wall.
We love to play in the class using construction blocks, animals for role play and different arts and crafts making lots of cool things!
We are using our new IDL topic ‘A bugs life’ and we are looking forward to more outdoor learning and getting to help improve the first level outdoor area with the other Primary 2 class. We are looking forward to our other topics that are coming up the rest of the year including – Scottish Foods, Our Community and Circus.
We can’t wait to challenge ourselves in Primary 2 and continue to learn and play everyday!”
