Primary 1
Primary 1 is a fun and exciting place to be! We have 33 children in the class and 3 teachers across the week. Mrs Hosie (Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri), Mrs Hogarth (Tues, Weds, Thurs) and Miss Whiteley (Mon, Weds PM, Thurs, Fri). We learn through a play based approach where we develop our Numeracy, Literacy and social skills on a daily basis. We enjoy exploring a variety of resources to support us in our learning both in class and within our garden area. Some of our favourite areas within our class include the block play area, the home corner and the creative area. We take part in Outdoor Learning weekly and enjoy working in smaller groups for activities such as Drama, Music and STEM. Our topics for this term will be: The Polar Lands (Social Studies/Science), Healthy foods (HWB) and The Christmas Story (RME).
