Supporting our Local Community and Fundraising are a big part of our school.

We have a close relationship with our friends at Fairknowe House Care Home in Maybole.  The residents visited the school for a special performance of our Christmas Show – Jock and the Beanstalk.   In return we went on tour to perform our Scottish Celebration.  It was a huge success and it ended in a singalong of The Jeely Piece Song!  The residents recently came to a special Spring Celebration afternoon at the school, we decorated eggs and enjoyed hot cross buns and a blether!

Our fundraising and charitable donations this year include £102.30 for MacMillan Cancer Care at our Coffee Morning in September and  £33.45 for Children in Need in November.  We also donated to the South Ayrshire Foodbank and The Night before Christmas Campaign in December.  In March we smashed a sponsored netball shoot raising a massive £196.43 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.

Not bad for a small school of 20 children and their parents and relatives!
