During February, our ‘Getting It Right For Every Child‘ (GIRFEC) focus is SAFE. Our JRSOs have been very busy in the mornings and at the end of the school day taking photos of the drivers that have not followed our repeated requests to park safely and choose to ignore the very large yellow banner attached to the school railings. If you are driving your child to school, please DO NOT park like the cars in the photo gallery for the safety of all the children. We have informed our campus cop of the campaign and he is also spot-checking the area for us.
Parking will be even more difficult over the coming weeks due to the Virgin Media cable laying, so we recommend leaving five minutes earlier to find a suitable parking space.
Examples of how you should not park:
Such a shame that a small minority of selfish parents care so little about our children’s safety. Keep up the good work JRSOs!
Surely parking on zig-zags is an absolute no-no, even for those too rushed / inconsiderate / lazy who may otherwise be inclined to park wherever they see fit!!?
You would think so. But there’s always someone who thinks they are more important than everyone else.
Three minutes … …. fifty steps…… to keep a child safe !
Great piece of work !
