UNCRC ARTICLE OF THE MONTH

Our Article of the Month is……

Article 38 – You have the right to protection in times of war.  You should never have to be in the army if you are under 15.

 Remember…

Human Rights Day is on 10th December.

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 1950, the Assembly passed resolution 423 (V), inviting all States and interested organizations to observe 10 December of each year as Human Rights Day.

New Wall Display

rrs

We have created a new wall display, to help share our message of being a Right Respecting School.   This can be seen in the back corridor.  Our wall display is of a harbour scene and the RRS Fisherton can be seen in the distance.    Our display was created by recycling the materials used in our previous display.   We have set sail on the RRS Fisherton and would now like to share our journey with the community.  Look out for our UNICEF representative in the Christmas show!

Personal Project Presentations

P4-7 have been working very hard this session on their learning theme.  The theme has been…..’Journeys’.   Each year group have researched and investigated as a group but the personal projects gave pupils a chance for a more individualised task.  We had a presentation week and what the pupils produced was outstanding.  We had many journeys to learn about from each other.
