On Monday we made new class jobs and we all came up with our own Super Hero name. Mrs Martin made it into a display.
We all got a Scottish poem to learn at home and have been learning Scots words in class.

We have been learning about Number Talks and have been counting on in 10s.
In Maths we have been learning lots of strategies for adding – portioning, counting on and re-ordering.
We learned about some Scottish landmarks – like Edinburgh Castle.
We learned about Scotland’s landscape too.
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland – it is 1344m.
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland.
The River Tay is the longest river and it goes through Dundee.
On Wednesday we were figuring out where Scottish cities were on a map.
Scotland has over 700 islands but only 130 have people living on them.
There are lots of lochs and rivers in Scotland.
Aberdeen is a Scottish city.
Scotland is part of the UK along with England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We share a border with England.
