Hello and welcome to P3 with Mrs Love and Mrs Duncan! We are also very lucky to have Mrs Lawrie working within our class to give us a little bit of extra support and encouragement as and when we need it. We look forward to working closely with you all and getting to know all of the boys and girls really well over the next year. In P3 we take part in a wide range of fun activities. Every day we do Maths and Literacy and once a week we go to Maths with Mrs Osbourne. 4 Days a week we practice our phonics through our ReadWrite Inc programme as well as completing our Write stuff activities 3 times per week. We also visit the ICT suite and gym hall twice a week. Our topics in P3 this year are: Ancient Egypt, The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, Food, Glorious Food and minibeasts. This term we started off with the Egyptians so please ask us what we have been learning about in class.

Here is some important information about our class:

• Mrs Love teaches on a Monday/Tuesday and every second Wednesday.
• Mrs Duncan teaches every second Wednesday and every Thursday/Friday.
• PE Days are: Monday & Friday.
• Could you please ensure you provide your child with gym kit on these days to allow them to take part safely. This can be kept in school on your child’s peg. We would prefer on gym days if your child came to school wearing a polo-shirt and that way only had shorts and shoes to change.
• Homework bags: These will be given out on a Monday and should be returned on a Friday.
