Neurodiversity
The University of Edinburgh has created information booklets for parents of children who they think may be neurodiverse or have been diagnosed with neurodiversity. ‘Neurodivergent’ refers to a broad range of conditions including for example autism, ADHD, DCD/Dyspraxia, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and those born prematurely (amongst other diagnosis). However, use of these booklets need not be restricted to those with a diagnoses.
These booklets are relevant for those children who have thinking differences that arise for any reason.
Please contact your child’s class teacher if you wish to discuss this further. Mrs Stewart or Mrs Meney (Pupil Support) can help also.
