Here at St James’ Primary we have excellent links with Renfrew Library. Our Library Committee work every year to sign up all of our pupils to the Renfrew Library. We also visit James and his librarian team at the Renfrew Library on a regular basis.

If you are a new pupil or want to replace a lost card print out this membership form and bring it with you on your next visit to the library.

E Books

Big Library Read connects readers around the world with the same book at the same time without any waitlists or holds.

E-magazines

RBdigital e-magazine service is available free for members of Renfrewshire Libraries.  Read digital copies of popular magazines, free of charge on computer, tablet or smartphone.  There’s no limit to the number of titles you can download or how long you can have them.  The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You will be prompted for your library card number during the RB digital registration process.  You will also need an email address, as this will be used by RBdigital as your username.

Learning Languages Online

How about learning a language online with BBC Language Courses?

The courses are easy to use, with a step-by-step programme, and full of interactive games and worksheets to help you. All our libraries provide free access to computers.

You can also support your learning using our online Oxford Language Dictionaries .  Type the word renfrew before your library card barcode when accessing this resource.

 

 

Toy Library

At home, in the garden, with family and friends or by yourself, our Toy Library collection will unlock play experiences to be enjoyed by everyone.

We have three categories of toys:

  • Read – a collection of books, puppets, story sacks and song and rhyme kits which will enhance your reading experience and bring your favourite characters to life.
  • Discover – a range of toys to help you to explore the world around you including water play resources, space exploration, outdoor fun and much more.
  • Learn – while having fun! You can learn to play new games, solve puzzles and develop new skills with this selection of learning toys.

Where is the Toy Library?

It’s an online service.  You can use the library catalogue to search for toys from home, or visit any of our libraries to search for toys using one of the computers in our libraries.

Who can use the Toy Library?

It’s open to anyone with an adult or adult concession Renfrewshire Library Membership.

How do I borrow toys?

Search and reserve your toys online for free, and select which library you wish to collect the toys from.  You can have a maximum of 2 toy reservations at any one time.  If the toys you have reserved are on loan, and you wish to borrow a toy which is currently available in the catalogue, please contact your local library who will be able to assist you with this.  We will notify you when your toy is available for you to collect.

How many toys can I borrow?

You can have 2 toys on loan at any time.

How long can I borrow the toys?

Toys can be borrowed for 4 weeks.

How much will it cost?

The Toy Library service is free.

How do I return toys?

You can return the toys to any Renfrewshire Library.
