Free School Meals and Clothing Grants Applications 2022-2023
Applications for free school meals and clothing grants for school session 2022/2023 are now open.
You should apply for free school meals and a clothing grant if you are on a low income and receive a qualifying benefit.
If your child is in primary six or seven, you should apply so your child can get a free school meal.
If your child is in primary one, two, three, four or five, your child will automatically receive a school meal. However, if you are on a low income, you should apply for free school meals because the council make payments into your bank account in lieu of school meals during school holidays (spring, summer, October and Christmas breaks). Please note these payments are only for people who meet the threshold of being on a low income. You can read more about the criteria on the MyAccount form.
You should also apply for a clothing grant no matter what primary class your child is in.
If you apply for a clothing grant by Friday 15 July and include all the required supporting documentation, then the council will be able to process your application and make a payment to you before the start of the new school term.
Finlaystone – A Thank You to Our Community
Just a note to say a huge thank you to all parents/carers, family members and pupils for helping to make our Big Day Out to Finlaystone Country Park an amazing day for everyone! Thank you for sending them ready to learn and have fun in the rain, we all had an absolute ball and our children were a credit to their families and their school with their lovely manners, enthusiasm and engagement. Thank you also to all family members who were able to come along and help us on the day, it was lovely to have so many of you able and eager to help. Thank you also to many of you who have spent time giving us feedback. It has been lovely to see the very positive and heart-warming comments through our various channels and is so good for my team to see that their hard work and commitment is meeting our learners needs. We are excited for the next session and look forward to working together in partnership with you.
Thank you again,
Natalie Fitzsimmons

Ren 10 Summer Support
The REN10 team have put together a Summer Support Package. This consists of a variety of supports available, including Togetherall, SHOUT, Parental supports, supports for Care Experienced children and young people and lots more.
We understand that although the summer holidays are an exciting time, they can often be a stressful, overwhelming and sometimes daunting time for other young people and their families. Therefore, we wanted to try and help by showcasing the variety of online and face to face supports, activities and other things individuals can get involved with over the summer.
Please see the Summer Support Package leaflet for more information.
I would like to note that on page 16 there is information about the ‘Summer of Play’ – there will be a sign up link available for this – https://renfrewshire-cld.class4kids.co.uk – however, it is not live yet. However, individuals can sign up for a class4kids account first so that they can be ready to book on when it goes live. For more information, the email is available on the support package.
We hope this is helpful to anyone who needs it. For more information on REN10 and what is available please head to www.ren10.co.uk.
