Family Learning Session – Wednesday 16th November 2022

To coincide with Anti-Bullying Week which runs from Monday 14th November until Friday 18th November, we are hosting a family learning session presented by Fiona White, Health and Wellbeing Officer from Renfrewshire Council on Wednesday 6.30pm until 7.30pm in our school hall.  This session aims to help parents and carers build their knowledge, skills and confidence to have everyday conversations with their child to support them to be safer online.  It will introduce Thinkuknow curricular materials and supports aimed at opening up dialogue in school regarding what children do online and how they should carry out their online relationships.

So let us begin.

God of heaven and earth, your Kingdom has room for us all. May we see each other through your eyes. Amen.

Bikeability Training Dates

Mrs McAllan and Mrs Church are currently trained as Bikeability Scotland Instructors and have been delivering the course for the last 3 years.

We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver Bikeability Scotland, the national cycle training programme for school children.  You don’t need to be a cycling expert to volunteer – you just need to be able to cycle confidently.

Courses are being held at KGV Pavilion, Renfrew and there are 4 starting dates to choose from.  You would only need to attend one course held over two days.  On all days, training runs from 9am until 12.30pm.  Bikes/Helmets available to borrow if required but better if you could bring your own.

Dates are as follows –

Course 1 – Monday 22nd August and Monday 29th August

Course 2 – Tuesday 23rd August and Tuesday 30th August

Course 3 – Thursday 1st September and Thursday 15th September

Course 4 – Tuesday 6th September and Tuesday 13th September

Primary 6 Fairtrade Enterprise

During Fairtrade Fortnight, Primary 6 ran a Rainbow Turtle Tuck Shop for all of the classes.  In the shop, children were able to buy various pocket money items.  Through all of their hard work, they managed to sell £145.89 worth of goods.

What a fantastic achievement!
