Free Bus Travel Scheme

All young people and children aged 5-21 years can apply for a card to access the Young Persons’ (Under 22s) Free Bus Travel Scheme, which began on 31 January 2022.

You will need a National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot NEC with the valid free travel entitlement with you whenever you want to take the bus – otherwise you will have to pay for your trip.

In Renfrewshire, the quickest way for children P1-P6 to sign up for free bus travel is via Parent Pay

Kids Church – First Sunday of Lent

On Sunday, we are going to hear about how Jesus spent 40 days praying in the desert, to get closer to God, and to get ready for his ministry.  At the end of this time he was very hungry.

During Lent, let us make a special effort to pray more, to dance more, to find out more about the way we should live our lives.

Use Formed this Lent as it is free and there are lots of videos to watch.

Another app that you can download is Amen where you can get daily reflections and short videos for children.  Lent is going to be busy.

Kids Church – 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus talks about how we have all done things that are wrong.  Instead of picking on the tiny mistakes of others, we should change the things that are not so good about our own behaviour.  Let’s think a bit more about this.

Kids Church will be starting up again during mass.  On the first Sunday in Lent, you are most welcome to come along and think about the message of the Gospel with your friends.  Tell everyone about this good news.

So let us use our hearts, our voices and our bodies to pray and come closer to God this week.

‘Let there be love shared among us’ will be sung at mass this week.  Can you learn it?  Can you sing along with the video?  I hope you can.

Kids Church – 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we hear Jesus telling people what it is He has come to do.  One of the things He says is that He has come to bring good news to the poor.  Our faith calls us to do the same.  Let’s think a bit more about what this good news is and how we can share it with others today.

It is quite a challenge to share good news with other people.  So take some time to pray quietly and also to sing and dance and praise God for his love for us.  Let us share that love.
