In every school the Head Teacher is the Child Protection Co-ordinator where any concern around child protection should be reported directly. In the absence of the Head Teacher then it must be reported to the Depute Head Teachers.

In Newmains this would then be Mrs Dunn and in her absence Miss Gillon or Mr McGauley.

Staff are trained annually in this aspect of school life and we follow procedures as set out in the Renfrewshire Council policy (SC57) to ensure protection and safeguarding of all.
