Registration and Enrolment
The date for registration of new school entrants is advertised in all local nurseries, national and local press and on the council’s website www.renfrewshire.gov.uk. It is normally in January each year. Pupils should be registered in only one school for their catchment area. Parents will be provided with information about the school, when they register their child.
Parents who want to send their child to a school other than the catchment school must make a placing request. Information on this procedure is contained in the leaflet ‘Sending your child to school.’ The leaflet is available from any school, by phoning our customer contact centre on 0300 300 0170. You can also make a placing request on our website www.renfrewshire.gov.uk. It is important to note that a successful placing request into a primary school does not guarantee a successful placing request when a child is transferring to secondary school.
Parents of pupils who have moved into the catchment area or, who wish their child to transfer to the school, should contact the school office for information.
