Summer of Fun
Our FREE Summer of Fun programme of activities for P1 – S3 pupils will go live for booking on the Class4Kids platform on Thursday 8th June 2023 at 10am at https://renfrewshire-cld.class4kids.co.uk/
This year’s programme is funded by Fairer Renfrewshire and is primarily targeted towards families who fall under the following categories,
- Receiving the school clothing grant
- Who are Minority Ethnic
- A parent under the age of 25
- Have a child/children under the age of 1
- Families who consist of 3 or more children
- Families whose household has a disability
- Children from a lone parent family
Activities will commence on Monday 3rd July and will run for 5 weeks until Friday 4th August 2023, 9.30am – 3pm each day. We want to make sure that as many families are able to access activities, so are asking families to limit bookings to 2 sessions per week per child. Sessions are open to everyone and are free, and lunch is provided at no additional cost.
All children attending must be self-sufficient. Requests for attendance at additional activities will be considered on a case by case basis and Officers should link in with the Community Learning and Development team summer@renfrewshire.gov.uk to provide details for such requests.
There are a range of sports and activities offered every day tailored to different age groups throughout the 5 week period.
An email has been sent to all families in receipt of the school clothing grant to make them aware of the go live date.
In addition to this our Adult and Family Learning team will be working with schools to identify families who would benefit from family sessions during the holidays and we will also be providing activities for the children and young people at Mary Russell.
There are lots of other free and low-cost holiday activities provided by the Council and our partners over the summer period. More information will be posted on the range of activities on the council website in the coming days including this programme.
