The Calm Base is a dedicated resource offering diverse support to pupils across the Secondary and the Step-unit. The Calm Base is a space designed to meet the needs of our pupils, providing a space that promotes emotional regulation.
The staff in The Calm Base use various techniques/activities to regulate the pupil to ensure that they can return to class when ready. Ensuring a successful return to the learning environment.
To promote health and wellbeing, the Calm Base runs various alternative programs, including the school magazine, cycling, music groups, and dedicated boys/girls groups. Additionally, the Calm Base supports our school’s parents by offering programs such as Non-Violent Resistance (NVR).
