The role of the Calm Base is to offer social, emotional and behavioural support to pupils, primarily in the S1 – S4 year groups. Since the base has been established there has been a 90% reduction in exclusions from the school for behaviour issues. It is the aim of the Calm Base to promote positive behaviour within the school. With this in mind every pupil attends the Calm Base at some point throughout the year for at least a short programme.  Support is then directed to the pupils who would benefit most from an input designed to support their needs. For more information, please see the document below:
