Covid positive result
If your child has a positive test for covid during the holidays there is no need to contact the school or Renfrewshire Council. The following message will be added to the school answerphone after the schools close on 18th December 2020 and this explains what will happen.
‘The school office is now closed until Wednesday 6th January. If you are phoning to let us know that your child has tested positive for COVID 19, please be advised that Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board (PHPU) will share this information with us. If we are advised that your child has displayed symptoms and/or tested positive within 48 hours of being in school someone will be in touch to gather information about close contacts.’
Please read important letters below regarding payment for Free meals during the Christmas Holiday Period. Currently all P1-P3 and Nursery children have free school meals whilst in school as part of the government initiative. During the Christmas Holiday period payment will only be made to those in receipt of certain benefits. Parents. therefore who have not applied for free school meals due to the government initiative will now need to apply to be able to get this payment. Applications need to be in by Thursday 10th December at the latest.
Primary 1 Registration for 2021
If your child turns 5 between 1 Mar 2021 and 28 Feb 2022, register them for school. Do this online at anytime http://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/p1registration between 2nd and 9th November. Please try this first – but if you can’t call your catchment school for an appt. This is really important – please do not turn up at school without an appt.

Please read the link below on how to register for Parent Portal. It is really important that parents register as soon as possible as the school will be going cashless at the end of November. Parents will be able to pay lunches etc online – more information on online payments will follow shortly.

It is very important that we have up to date information in case we need to contact parents and to make sure that you are receiving our text messages with school information. Please ensure your phone is able to receive calls from our number. We suggest that you save our number as a contact on your telephone to quickly identify the school is calling. Please see the link below from the council which explains how schools that are not on Parent Pay are taking payment for school lunches. It explains that for any child who is not entitled to a free school meal in P4-P7 and is therefore purchasing one, will be invoiced on a weekly basis until we are up and running with Parent Pay. Payment will then be made direct to the Council. Only packed lunches are available at present.
