Teachers for next session will be introducing themselves to their new classes throughout the week as appropriate.
Pupil Learning Journeys should currently be making their way to you either by email or paper copy. This is the second one this session and forms part of our reporting on pupil progress strategy.
Pupils and staff put in a lot of effort to select pieces that demonstrate the learning taking place throughout the year. Please provide them with some feedback on the profile.
If you have not received a copy, either by email or a paper copy, by Friday 21st June please let us know.
We hope you enjoy sharing in your child’s learning journey.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our ‘Seasons For Growth’ awareness day. Children can come to school dressed in their own clothes, wearing a colour or colours to represent their favourite season. The suggested donation is £1 and money raised will be used to purchase resources for the programme.
Thank you for your support regarding this and we look forward to seeing and talking to your children about their favourite season!
All P2-7 classes have been entered into the Renfrewshire Sumdog Contest. Please play as many games on Sumdog to help your class climb the leader board. The contest starts at 8am on Friday 14th June and ends at 8pm, Thursday 20th June. Good luck!
As we approach the end of the school year we would like to ask for any reading books to be returned that have perhaps been mislaid or turned up in an unusual place! Even if you have had the book for two weeks, two months or two years we would greatly appreciate any books to be returned to the teacher so we can start next session with as many reading books as possible.
The results are in and we are proud to announce that the HAWKS are the winners of Sports Day 2019.
Well done to all of the houses as this was the closest event in many years.
Thank you to all our wonderful helpers from Park Mains, Fraser our Active Schools Coordinator, Strathclyde Police and all of our partner agencies who made this day possible. Thank you to all of our supporters who cheered us on and to everyone who gave all of the events their Bishopton Best!
THIS DROP IN SESSION, OPEN TO ALL PARENTS, WILL HIGHLIGHT THE TRIPLE P APPROACHES DESIGNED TO SUPPORT PARENTS AND EXPLORE PRACTICAL STRATEGIES TO ENSURE CHILDREN CAN FLOURISH.
THE SESSION WILL BE LED BY PARENTS WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAMME ALONG WITH HOME LINK STAFF
Please keep an eye on your child’s class blog and/or for a letter in their bag about their class end of year assembly/open afternoon. Every stage will be hosting an event to celebrate their learning. We hope you can join them.
Pupils from P3 W have traveled through to Ingliston Showground to set up their garden for the Gardening Scotland pallet competition. Their design was one of only 20 chosen for the final.
We wish them the best of luck with their design.
If you are visiting the show this weekend please stop by and see their wonderful garden.
Thank you to everyone who has been in touch thanking the staff for their efforts and hard work in putting together yesterday’s event. It was very much appreciated.
Our pupils all had a great day and there is much excitement whilst we wait for the scores to be totalled and the winning house announced at the next assembly.
Our pupils showed great sportsmanship and resilience despite the weather.
Could we please remind you that the return date for the class photograph orders was yesterday? We will accept orders in the envelope until Friday 31st May but will be sending the order after this. You can also order the photographs online.
The weather forecast is not great for either Wednesday or Thursday this week. As Thursday appears to be worse than Wednesday, sports day will go ahead as best as possible tomorrow. Some alterations may need to be made during the day if the weather becomes very bad.
Please come prepared with waterproof clothing. The temperature also looks low so a jumper or sweatshirt may also be required.
If you are taking your child out of school at lunchtime they will be dismissed by their class teacher from the usual exit door, not from the school office.
Thank you to all who responded to our Parental Questionnaire during our parents evenings this week. For those of you who did not manage to complete a paper copy, an electronic version is available via the link below.
Please do not click on the link if you have already submitted your paper response.
If you would prefer a paper copy please contact the school office and one will be made available.
We value your feedback and look forward to receiving as many responses from as many sources as possible. Your responses will help us to plan and deliver the best possible service for the year ahead.
We will have the Scholastic Book Fair in the Maths Room (next to the Main Office) during the Parent Appointments on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd May.
Your child will receive a leaflet about the types of books on offer and a few vouchers for books. Cash and cheques should be handed to the Book Fair Organiser on the night. All profits will go to the School Fund. Thank you in advance.
