Good afternoon everyone I hope you are having a lovely weekend. This is a short week with school closing on Wednesday for your holiday weekend. Please continue reading for your homework and reminders.
Spelling: Due to the short week there is no written spelling homework, however please learn your words from lists nch, se or o-e, for your spelling assessment on Wednesday.
Reading: As assigned by Mrs. Livingstone.
Personal Reading Challenge: There are now only 5 weeks left to reach (or beat!) the target you set yourselves this term . Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during ERIC time. Remember to keep recording the books you have completed this term in your Reading Passport.
Maths: There is no written maths homework this week, however if you wish to practise your multiplication please use the links below.

Personal Project: You have personal project to prepare on an aspect of the Titanic. You will then present your project to the class on Thursday 15th June. If you know that you will be away from school on that day (maybe to somewhere hot and sunny) you can complete your project earlier. Please let me know and I will organise a different date for your presentation. The criteria and task sheet for this task can be found here.
Here are your reminders for this week:
- There will be no P.E. this week due to sports day on Tuesday and your holiday on Thursday.
- We have our library visit tomorrow. Please remember to bring you library book with you so you can return it and choose a new one.
- Please remember to bring any empty, clean 2l bottles you may have for our Titanic science task (scheduled for Thursday 6th June). Each group will need 3 clean, plastic bottles of the same size so please discuss this with your group members.
- Please remember to ask any senior citizens you know to come along to our Roots & Wings café which we will be hosting on Wednesday 31st May (afternoon). We are also looking for 3 volunteers to serve teas and coffees (required from 1pm). Please check if anyone from home can make it and let me as soon as possible.
- P5S will continue to hold their Fairtrade Tuck-shop every Wednesday. If you are wanting to buy something, please remember to bring the exact money to school if possible. You can find the item prices here.
- School closes on Wednesday and will reopen on Tuesday.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
See you all tomorrow.
