Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend after yet another busy week. Please continue reading for your homework and reminders.
Spelling: Please complete lists homophones or ey in your spelling homework jotter for Thursday. Please continue to write out your spelling words 3 times using SaCaWaC in the same way as we do in class. You should then write a sentence for each of your first 6 spelling words. Once again I will be assessing your use of connectives, however I will also be looking for more fabulous vocabulary too.
Reading: We are continuing with our novel study – Danny the Champion of the World. Please remember if you do not complete the reading you will be unable to take part in the class lesson. Your homework for this week is to read chapters 19 and 20 for Tuesday 14th March.
As always if there are any words that you don’t understand please take a note of them in your Book Detectives jotter (remembering the page number) and, if possible, use a dictionary to find out their meaning . We will start our lesson by discussing these in class.
Personal Reading Challenge: You now only have 4 weeks to go with your personal reading challenge. Please remember to record the books you have read in your Reading Passport which are kept in class. Remember to choose your books carefully to ensure they are at the correct level for you – not too easy or too hard. You can bring your book into school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC time.
Maths: I have posted another set of worded problems on your maths homework blog. Please complete these in your maths homework jotter. As always, please read each question carefully. You should ensure you are showing workings AND giving a full sentence answer. This homework is due for Thursday.
A high standard of work is being produced from the majority of you. Well done, keep it up!
Both group 1 and group 2 can find their maths homework here:
Please remember to access the Multiplication and Division Trainers for extra practice.

Topic: As part of our Clyde in the Classroom topic you will be painting trout in the style of the artist George Seurat. You will find all the information for this task by clicking on the link below. This homework is due for Monday 13th March.
Here are your reminders for this week:
- P.E. will be on Monday and Thursday this week. Please ensure you have a P.E. kit in school. Please also remember to have a bottle of water with you as you will be working hard.
- If you have any spare plastic carrier bags at home please could you bring them in so that we can use them to stuff your 3D trout.
- We will be visiting Bishopton Library on Tues 7th March between break and lunch. We have been very lucky and have now got two volunteers to accompany us on our visit. Thank you.
- As we will be working on our River Clyde mural throughout our topic it would be good if you could bring in an old t-shirt or shirt to keep your uniform clean, this can be left in class.
- Please remember if anyone at home is (or has been) linked to the River Clyde in any way through work, we would love to hear from them. Please click here for further information.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
See you all on Monday.
