We’re thrilled our cooking equipment that was purchased using our Food for Thought fund is now organised and in use! We are lucky enough to now have four portable cooking stations and all the resources needed to prepare and cook food in school. The children will learn practical skills like grating, chopping, grilling and following recipes as the project progresses. There will also be many opportunities for cooking enterprise activities in the coming months.
Every class is baking or cooking something for the school Fayre- including apple & cranberry chutney, Christmas pudding cookies, orange & cranberry shortbread and Christmas Malteser tray bake.
All money raised from this stall is going towards a Food for Thought fund which will enable us to buy cooking ingredients all year round and ensure the project is sustainable. You’ll find us in the gym hall tomorrow night!
